Character and Conflict in Soliloquy

This high school unit focuses on using Soliloquies in all their forms as a mechanism for exploring characters and conflicts in performance drama. The unit begins with students analyzing existing soliloquies from diverse sources including Macbeth, Hamilton, and even The Bachelorette. From there students will craft their own soliloquies culminating in a project where those pieces are performed for their peers.
