This 5th grade unit provides an introduction to Shakespearean text. Over the course of the three lessons students will be introduced to deciphering the meaning of well-known lines of Shakespeare using gestures as a guide. Students will be able to transform theatrical gestures into a tool for deciphering the meaning of complicated lines for text, and then use those same gestures to help the audience understand as well.
